License Trade

Recent changes in the Licensing Scotland Act has meant that any one selling alcohol must have a accurate set of plans of their premises. Failure to lodge plans with the license application will mean that the license may be revoked. The format of the plans is set by the Local Licensing Board and would generally include the following:

What if I fail to submit my application on time?

Failure to submit your Licence Application correctly and on time means that your Licence Application will be treated as a new application and you will lose all the "grandfather rights" This  could mean that you will have to reapply for planning , building control &  food hygiene certification. The police will also be involved in the detail of the application as it is effectively a new application.

Local changes may also have a bearing, consider a situation where a large brewer successfully applied for a licence in the area it is possible that your application could be rejected on the grounds of over-provision.

As a minimum you will still be looking at the costs of reapplying fully.
